We found a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo on the top (5th) floor of a building right on the beach near the center of the island. The original idea was to be able to walk to a few things if the weather was good. We certainly didn't expect the weather we encountered.

Christmas Eve - the storm had arrived with high wind which produced dramatic surf and rain mixed with sleet .
Christmas Day - the storm left snow in it's wake but the day cleared and warmed enough to enjoy a waterside sunset followed by the rise of a full moon, most of which we enjoyed from inside the condo..
